How would you do this space? Grass didn’t grow so we put black mulch but all that does is gets into the house… money is limited so a cheap fix for what to put under deck as a ground.

Built this by hand with my friend…9 cement tubes with pressure treated foundation. 8X10

Learned a lot and had many laughs!

Big gap 😣 about 12 inch—will tape and mud hold, or do I need to redo it❓ Really hoping not to tear it apart.
