Teen Writers Project

I am so grateful to be a part of a cohort with so many dope innovators, visionaries, and change-makers who are shaking things up in North Texas.

I am also excited to share that was selected as a 2025–26 Social Innovation Fellow with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas!

Through this fellowship, has been awarded $25,000 in unrestricted funding along with mentorship and connections to expand what we’ve been building since 2018: a space where teen writers are published, paid, and prepared for lifelong careers in writing and publishing.

For the past six weeks we have been training, learning, networking, and preparing for the opportunity to present our vision for teen writers during the Big Pitch early next year.

For too long, teens have been told to wait until they grow up for their voices to matter. At , we believe their words deserve to be heard now, and this fellowship will help us live up to our promise to teens across North Texas and beyond: You be the voice. We'll be the microphone! Thank you UWSIA!
