Love eating meat and fish but not sure how to check if they are fresh? Here's how you can check if or not the fish or meat you are buying is fresh

How do you check if the fish is fresh (unless you've gone fishing yourself)? Its not as difficult as you may think, all you need to do is check if the fish has a slightly salty smell as fresh fish from the ocean will have that smell. For whole fish check if the eyes are bulging out, if they are then its fresh, if not then its stale. Another way to check is to see if the gills are bright red. As for the fillets, you need to check if it has firm flesh.
