โก What a ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ at for the LF Bioenergy team. We kicked things off with ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด at the Biogas Golf Classic, where we even took home the longest putt, and continued the week with ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐ณ๐๐น ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ with peers across the industry. It was a privilege to ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ธ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ฏ๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ, be a ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ on the live podcast during the Women in Biogas Luncheon, and ๐บ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ผ ๐๐๐ฒ๐น ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ๐น. We wrapped up the week with an LF Bioenergy team meeting, reflecting on the insights, connections, and momentum built throughout the event and aligning on the ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ for the LF Bioenergy team.

When safety has to be right the first time, Dustin Long leads from the front. Heโs climbed the Colorado Mt. Elbert, โ14er,โ and heโs worked 300 feet in the air as a wind technicianโtwo experiences that demand the same thing: ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ด๐ผ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด, ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ ๐ฒ๐

Growing up, Dustin was fortunate to be around the building blocks of a successful heavy-industry career, including farm and tractor-trailer operations. Seeing the day-to-day management of these businesses helped him build a strong foundation in maintenance ex*****on and operational discipline early on. By 16, he was paying his own bills and performing maintenance on his first car.
After college, Dustin entered heavy industry full time and later became a wind technician. โI think a lot about my time as a wind technician. When youโre 300 feet up in the air, the fire department isnโt coming to help you, and you must have the right equipment. Safety and efficiency became crucial in that experience, and it prepared me for my role with LF.โ
๐ง๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐ผ๐๐ ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐๐ฒ๐ helped Dustin determine his future with LF Bioenergy. He is working toward becoming an OSHA-certified Occupational Health and Safety Professional, driven by a passion for making the workplaceโand the worldโsafer.
Dustin also serves as a Trustee and board member at his church, where he has driven safety initiatives to make it more welcoming for the community. In his spare time, he also enjoys hiking. In 2020, he hiked Coloradoโs Mt. Elbert. That climb reinforced the same principles he brings to the LF plant every day: plan ahead, check your gear, watch the conditions, and stay steady when the work gets demanding.

The ACI Future of RNG North America 2026 conference brought together thought leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to unpack whatโs changing across sustainable energy and waste-to-RNGโand what it means for project development, finance, and commercialization.
LF Bioenergy Chief Commercial Officer Jeff Spearin (panelist) underscored a core financing reality: โA bankable offtake agreement still needs term length and price certainty. There are new tools to manage volatility, but lenders are not fully there yetโฆ there are more tools and options available to producers to dampen merchant price volatility, but Iโm not sure that is enough for lenders just yet.โ Spearin noted how the low- and negative -CI offtake market has reset. Offtakes into Clean Fuel Standard (CFS)-type markets at reasonable pricesโoften with five-year+ termsโare harder to secure. Many offtakers and intermediaries are also pushing more risk back to producers (volume variability, change-in-law risk, and other carveouts). In practice, RNG developers must now weigh headline value against the risks embedded in the paper. The era of โstandardโ RIN and LCFS RNG offtake agreements appears to be behind usโand a major disconnect today is using market and offtake assumptions from 12+ months ago, despite materially different conditions.
For producers, the offtake landscape looks very different than it did 2โ3 years ago. Some traditional demand channels (e.g., CNG for transportation) are increasingly saturated, and constraints in the value chain have shifted from feedstocks and RNG supply toward dispensing capacity. That shift raises the bar for commercialization strategy: evaluate compliance and voluntary markets, diversify pathways where feasible, and price the added risk explicitly in commercial terms.
Looking ahead, producers should test the commercial potential of both existing facilities and new developments across multiple marketsโand structure offtake agreements with as much flexibility as practicable to navigate evolving pricing, policy, and demand dynamics.
