Growing up listening to classic country and rock with his family, he quickly attached to the Texas sound. Shortly after graduating HS, dreams of playing college baseball came to an unfortunate end. After borrowing a guitar, uprooting and moving to Ruston, LA to attend LaTech, he taught himself to play. Shortly thereafter he began doing open mic shows before finally securing a solo gig.
