We will never forget those who lost their lives on this day, 24 years ago. Likewise, we will never forget the men and women of our armed forces, and their families, who sacrificed so much in days, months and years that followed in an attempt to obtain justice on behalf of the fallen. And please do not forget those that continue to sacrifice as they struggle with injuries and mental health following their service overseas. Please donate, however small, to any charity that helps our veterans cope with the stress of their service. For many, that struggle will continue for the remainder of their lives. Our service to them should continue as well, in constantly reminding ourselves of what our society owes them, but which can never be fully repaid.
