This cake recipe i my absolute new favorite! It is the same chocolate recipe i have used for years, but this time i used my black cocoa powder. Black cocoa powder is what’s used to make Oreos! Man was it absolutely delicious, and oh so moist.

I also switched up my standard American buttercream with this cake as well. It did not disappoint, and is now going to be my new standard! I typically use crisco as it provides more stability for decorating. This time i cut the amount of crisco in half, and did a small jar of marshmallow fluff in place of the rest of the crisco called for. It still provides the stability needed for decorating, but made it so much yummier.
