Home Depot planning $13M San Marcos store

SAN MARCOS – Home Depot is planning a $13 million store at I-35 North Frontage Rd. and McCarty Rd.

The project will include a 107,797-sf store and a 28,120-sf garden center, totaling nearly 136,000 sf.

Construction is expected to begin in September 2026, with completion targeted for August 2027.

Target opens 1.2M-sf receiving center in Houston

HOUSTON – Target Corp. has opened a 1.2 million-sf receiving center at 5805 S. Sam Houston Pkwy. E.

The $65.8 million facility will support seven regional distribution centers.

It is the first facility in Target’s network dedicated to receiving and staging import freight for redistribution.

The site is part of Hillwood’s Beltway 66 Logistics Park and began operations after a lease signed in 2022.

207K-sf industrial project under development in Austin

AUSTIN – Stream Realty Partners is developing Hilltop 71, a 207,000-sf industrial project.

The development at 6800 E. Ben White Blvd. will span seven buildings.

The buildings range from 16,000 to 65,000 sf, supporting smaller tenants.

Ground break is expected within 60 days.

Phase One of townhome community delivered in Arlington

ARLINGTON – Southern Impression Homes has delivered phase one of LyvWell at Harmony, a 213-unit build-to-rent townhome community at 9002 S. Collins St.

The project includes two-, three- and four-bedroom units ranging from 1,355 to 1,872 sf, with rents from $2,715 to $3,230 per month.

The development is a partnership between Alpaca Real Estate, LyvWell Communities, and Southern Impression Homes.

Full completion is expected in 18 months.

Historic Houston office tower wraps restoration project

HOUSTON – NewForm Real Estate has completed its restoration of 917 Franklin, the historic Commercial National Bank Building.

Built in 1904, the six-story building is designated a City of Houston landmark and is part of the Main Street Market Square Historic District.

Renovations of the 50,000-sf structure included exterior façade work, window repairs, masonry cleaning, and lighting upgrades.

Interior updates feature a restored lobby, modernized building systems, and upgraded office suites with new lighting, AV infrastructure, and kitchenettes.
