A few days ago, in a room full of community, we took a moment to honor a woman whose love helped shape so much of what FreeLux is today… Lynetta “Binky” Holley.

She was more than a mother.
She was a supporter. A believer. A quiet force behind the work.
One of FreeLux’s biggest cheerleaders, always reminding us why this mission matters.

Her love for her family, her strength through life’s challenges, and the way she showed up for others continues to live on in everything we do.

This tribute was first shared in the room… but her legacy deserves to be felt beyond it.

We honor you, Lynetta.

This year, we are proud to honor the unstoppable advocate Marnina Miller with the She CAN Award at Brunch in the Butterfly Garden. 🦋

Marnina is a fierce voice for people living with HIV. An openly proud Black q***r woman living with HIV, she has turned her lived experience into power, using her platform, policy advocacy, and organizing to challenge stigma and influence the systems that shape our lives. 

From community organizing to training new advocates and speaking truth across social media as , she reminds the world that visibility is power and that people living with HIV deserve dignity, leadership, and joy. 

The She CAN Award celebrates women who refuse to be quiet, who push doors open for others, and who remind us what courage looks like in real time.

And trust us… this celebration is going to be special.

Today we’re sending a very special Happy Birthday to a woman who continues to break barriers and lead with purpose, Dr. Kesha O’Reilly. 🎉🌸

In just 7 days, we’ll have the honor of celebrating Dr. O’Reilly as our FreeLux Woman of the Year at Brunch in the Butterfly Garden.

Dr. O’Reilly has spent more than two decades advancing healthcare, improving outcomes for people living with HIV, and helping shape strategies that impact communities across the globe. Today she continues that leadership as a Trustee for Dallas College, while remaining a powerful advocate for public health, collaboration, and equity in care.

Her work reminds us what it looks like to lead with both brilliance and heart.

We’re grateful to celebrate her life, her leadership, and her impact on the very day we wish her a beautiful birthday.
