BigLaw to $190k has begun. Surprisingly, Milbank and not Cravath was the first mover yesterday, raising 1st yr associate salaries to $190k. Other years got raises of $10-15k. Today Proskauer and Winston Strawn matched. If history is an indicator, expect more elite firms will announce that they are matching before the end of the month if not the end of the week.
