As anticipation built for the Spain vs. France semifinal, WFAA spotlighted Deep Ellum's newest World Cup-inspired mural. Painted by internationally recognized artist Hatziel Flores, the artwork is the latest addition to the neighborhood's expanding collection of World Cup murals.

The mural joins Deep Ellum's collection of 48 country banners and eight soccer-themed murals, transforming the neighborhood into an immersive destination for fans throughout the tournament.

CW33 highlighted Imani Black Studios’ “What is Home?” exhibition, a powerful cultural showcase in Deep Ellum featuring internationally acclaimed artists Willie Baronet and Leah den Bok. The exhibition explores the stories, dignity, and resilience of individuals experiencing homelessness through Baronet’s collection of signs and den Bok’s large-scale portraits.

Running through Aug. 8, 2026, the exhibit invites visitors to engage with interactive installations, artwork, and conversations around housing and humanity. The grand opening fundraiser on July 11 will feature an artist talk with Baronet and den Bok.
