Balance & coordination are essential for maintaining independence; and strengthening exercises play a key role in fall prevention and overall mobility.
In skilled nursing rehabilitation, our goal is simple: improve strength, increase endurance, and support patients in safely performing daily tasks.
Here are a few effective exercises we like to incorporate:
β’ Wall Push-Ups β Strengthen the chest, shoulders, and arms while promoting stability.
β’ Chair Squats β Build leg and glute strength to support safe transitions from sitting to standing.
β’ Arm Curls β Improve upper body strength, helping with everyday movements.
β’ Leg Raises β Engage core and hip flexors to enhance balance and control.
β’ Toe Raises β Strengthen calves and improve stability during standing and walking.
When implemented consistently and safely, these exercises can significantly reduce the risk of injury and empower patients to move with confidence.
Small movements. Big impact.
