Another Champs in the books for BT!
It was an exciting year for us! Our Champs crew was bigger than ever before. This was the first year we entered 3 Championship Teams. On Friday we had 3 Championship Singles. Cherry placed 2nd in Div 1, Mamba placed 3rd in Div 1, and Prim placed 3rd in Div 2! Way to go BT baby dogs! BING started out in last seed on Saturday and ended up going undefeated, placing 1st in Div 7 Championship. It was a memorable final race against our TX friends OddBallz Flyball Club! Their sportsmanship in the finals was amazing! BANG placed 5th in Div 3. We were happy to place in the top half of this very competitive division. For BOOM, our fastest time of 14.722 in the time trials put us in Div 1 on Sunday with 9 of the fastest teams in U-FLI. We ran clean and ended up placing 2nd in Div 1 after an exhilarating finals race! Congratulations to this year’s champions, Rocket Relay Flyball Club!
It was Heidi, Kelly & Levi’s first year to attend Champs. They all did an awesome job in the lanes!
On Saturday, Levi competed in the U-FLI box loader challenge and placed 3rd!
Apex received the Unsung Hero award after racing on Sunday, recognizing her as a backbone of team BOOM!
The teamwork and camaraderie this year was like no other! Huge shoutout to Doreen for driving up earlier than planned to bring us a dog to list on BANG. With hardly any notice she hopped in her van and headed to St. Louis to make sure our lineups were complete.
Congratulations to our flyball region for representing so well this year! We enjoyed celebrating everyone’s achievements! Thank you to everyone who supported us over the weekend.

Last weekend we said goodbye to the Houn’ House practice building. We were very blessed to have a consistent practice facility for so many years.
Today we start a new chapter at K-9 Culture Dog Training DFW. We couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to train at this amazing facility!

The Summer Sizzler tournament was a blast! 🔥 Thank you to Prime Time Flyball for hosting! It was a very well-run tournament with awesome awards & a great raffle! BT won several big raffle prizes!
At the tournament we welcomed our newest BT member Kelly and his border collie, Bella who made her debut over the weekend.
We ran 3 teams- BING 💥 BANG 💥 BOOM 💥, a pairs team & multiple singles. Cherry & BB8 also had some very successful preflights.
With a few dogs out this month, it allowed this tournament to be a good opportunity for our young racers to be in the lanes.
Dogs of the weekend go to all of our debut dogs! Mamba, Prim & Bella all had their singles debuts. Mamba won fastest singles of the weekend putting a 3.59 on the clock (3.54 L2L)! Salsa made her pairs debut running in start with Flare and team debut running in start on BING. Saber made her A-team debut running in start putting up some speedy times! Confetti also made her A-team debut and ran her little heart out with the BOOM dogs. She ran both in anchor and start over the weekend, setting the jumps back down to 9”! 🎊
Some other highlights of the weekend included a perfect start for Doreen & Pizza, new best time for Sascha running in start on BING with a 4.28 L2L, and our height dog pug, Manon, (who ran full time on BING over the weekend) ran a new best time of 4.89 L2L. Great job, team!!
