I recently flew to Canada for my grandmother‘s celebration of life, and was able to sketch a little bit in the quiet moments (and before I got sick and lost the energy).

These quiet moments observing the places around me always grounds me no matter where I am.

I’m glad I snuck some time to paint early on in the week and didn’t wait for the perfect locations or time, because I fell ill and found I couldn’t sketch later in the week.

Recording in this way is always my favorite way to make memories, and solidify memories. Here are a few of the pages I made while traveling.

I was grateful for the Fuumuui Travel Watercolor Paint Set (this is the large size) as it made it easy for me to paint on the go, and also paint in places that would’ve been really awkward to otherwise. (Plane, breweries, standing at windows to catch views…)
