Today we did something that we love to do! We used the resources we have to have multiple purposes!! We stacked hay to block wind and be an insulator for this harsh winter. Hay just takes up space but we need to have it to feed, this allows us to keep our cattle warm and well fed! The cattle do not have the ability to eat it until we bring it out of the stack thanks to an electric fence. Farming is all about using what you have to solve multiple farms, sometimes it is like a puzzle! The farmers, cattle and meeko are all happy! You would be amazed to feel the temperature difference in the corner!
