3 days into Project Quarantine: my house is getting cleaner and I’m almost done with this slipcover!

I started my maternity leave early since I work with a high risk Covid-19 population (nursing home). I’m grateful that I’m close enough to the finish line to do this. 5 weeks to go.

I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

I’m at the point where consecutive 10-hour construction projects are no longer an option. BUT this extra time has give me the chance to try a few new things.

Last week I finally tried the circular saw my Dad gave me for Christmas. And this week I’m making a slip over for an ugly nursery rocker. Guys, it’s SO hard. I’m getting better but it’s not a quick gratification kind of project. Here’s where I’m at so far:

I also recovered a pillow, gonna stencil a wall, and making a wood sign using a projector. Nothing like a few last minute projects!
