iVue Robotics
iVue Robotics Founder, Jacob Andrews, is back at Fowler Park, this time joined by Gerardo and a special guest: Arturo Norambuena, a former Chilean international soccer player and coach who has never flown a drone before. To get the session started, they set up the Develop Air mini and connect it to a Mac running QGroundControl via an MLRS telemetry radio. After explaining the basics of the iVue RoboControl app and showing how to upload automated flight missions from a tablet, they walk Arturo through the manual arming sequence. With a little "persistence and not patience," Arturo successfully takes control for a quick manual test flight.

iVue Robotics Founder, Jacob Andrews, heads to Fowler Park with the team to test the newly built Develop Air XE and troubleshoot a frustrating problem: the drone's continuous rotation during flight. After attempting a test flight the previous night where the drone was successfully armed but not flown, the pilot prepares to try again. To bypass the rotation issue, he decides to swap the MLRS radio from the XE with a known working radio from a Develop Air model. He carefully opens the top cover of the XE and swaps the radios, hoping this hardware change will finally restore stable flight.

iVue Robotics Founder, Jacob Andrews, steps away from the usual Denmark Drone Park location to troubleshoot the Develop Air XE right outside the iVue Robotics workshop. After jokingly apologizing for a broken lighting system that was "supposed to be connected to this MLRS radio," he explains that the receiver (RX) is "not fully establishing a connection" to QGroundControl. He switches gears, connecting the drone to the development version of the iVue RoboControl app. He successfully arms and disarms the drone via the app, confirming that the lead developer, Mohit, had "fixed the issue" that prevented arming in earlier tests—even though the pilot opts not to take off due to the less-than-ideal flying spot.
