“To remain little is to recognize one’s nothingness, to expect everything from God, as a little child expects everything from his father.” ~ St. Thèrése of Lisieux
Thank you to every father, both spiritual and natural, who has been a conduit of our Father’s love to us! Happy Father’s Day! 💙

With great joy we thank God for a very blessed Extraordinary Council gathering. 🕊️ Please pray for our Mother General and her Council, as well as our local superiors and vicars as they return to their respective missions and enter into their annual retreats. Fiat! 💙
We are bonded by fraternal charity, united in prayer and sacrifice, and bear one another’s burdens as a religious family. This bond is our true witnessing of God’s love and mercy expressed in our concern for the welfare of one another, making our community our first apostolate. (LIHM Constitutions 27)

Our calling is not just to find rest in the Heart of Jesus, but to become a gentle yoke and a place of rest for others. Just as He carries us, we are called to bear the burdens of those entrusted to us—with patience, kindness, and compassion.
Happy Solemnity of the Sacred Heart! ♥️

“Restoration of adoration of the Sacrament will heal our Church, and thus our nation, and thus our world. It is one of Satan’s most destructive lies that sitting alone in a dark church adoring Christ is irrelevant, impractical, a withdrawal from vital contemporary needs. Adoration touches everyone and everything in the world because it touches the Creator, who touches everything and everyone in the world from within, in fact, from their very center. When we adore, we plunge into the center of the hurricane, ‘the still point of the turning world;’ we plug into infinite dynamism and power. Adoration is more powerful for construction than nuclear bombs for destruction.”

With great joy, we join our Ohio Sisters in celebrating the 10th sacerdotal anniversary of their pastor, Fr. Stephen Smith.
Through the intercession of Mary, Mother of Priests, please join us in humbly praying for a special outpouring of the Spirit of love upon Fr. Smith.
“Accompanied by Mary, the priest will be able to renew his consecration day after day; and the time will come when, trusting the guidance of the Spirit whom he has invoked on his journey as man and as priest, he will set forth upon the ocean of light which is the Trinity.” - Pope St. John Paul II
Today we joyfully thank Almighty God as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Priestly Ordination of Fr. Stephen Smith, ordained May 28, 2016.
As the first Pastor of St. John Paul II Scioto Catholic Parish, Fr. Smith has faithfully guided our parish family with devotion, humility, and love for Christ and His Church.
Through the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the sacraments, prayer, teaching, and pastoral care, he has helped build a vibrant Catholic community rooted in faith, truth, and charity.
“Lord, you have called Fr. Stephen Smith to priestly ministry in this particular moment of history… that he might be a witness to Your wonders and the strength of Your Spirit.”
We give thanks for his steadfast service and ask God to continue blessing him with strength, wisdom, joy, and peace in his vocation.
Please join us in praying for Fr. Smith: O Good Jesus, make him a priest after Your own Heart.
Congratulations, Fr. Smith, on 10 blessed years of priesthood and faithful service to the people of Scioto County. Ad Multos Annos! ✨🙏
