People Must Know RV

There are people still living without power a year after Hurricane Helene hit western, NC so thanks to the caring people of Cullman, (my Mother included) we were able to refill tanks for propane heaters and help serve at a supply distribution site to provide coats, blankets, gloves/mittens, hand warmers, and so much more. Michelle, with Polk Referral Center, also makes sure people know which local groups can help them with whatever their needs might be and she has the paperwork and contact info to actually start the process for them. Great to meet Michelle and watch her work miracles. The people she helps love her like family.

We connected with Joan at Spokes of Hope Faith Responders before we even left for North Carolina and WOW what God is doing through these people is indescribable! We dropped off a truckload of donated supplies from the good people in Cullman, AL (Thank you Kathy at Selah Therapeutic Massage for collecting them!) and every item was desperately need. There are still people without power or roads to their homes or to the land where their homes once stood before the flash flood, mudslides and debris flows swept them away. The photo below is the new path the river has chosen since the storm rerouted things. Yes, that’s how these people get home, their driveway is across the water and when it rains, they must either stay home or stay out until the water drops to this level. Thank you to everyone who supported our trip to help the Hurricane Helene victims as they are still struggling a year later. The stories of survival of these people would break your heart… But God has shown up and touched so many hearts! Please pray for the people in this region. They are precious!

Five years ago, when we said “I Do”, we knew God had put us together to be His messengers and we see His hand in our lives every day. We are so grateful to all of you who have shared in our journey.
