Rest in Peace to Sailing Hall of Famer Ted Turner.

Back in 1970 Ted sailed in the Race to Mackinac, and beforehand scoffed at Lake Michigan, calling it a "mill pond". Days later he was fighting 60knot winds and massive seas that forced 88 boats out of the race. During the storm he announced to his crew mates that he publicly renounced any aspersions he cast on inland lake sailing.

Hell of a sailor, that guy.

Last week we won the national Ace Award for selling the most new boats into SailTime the past 3 years!

This weekend was spent in a snowy boatyard, earning the next one by grinding at the spring prep season, making sure our entire fleet is perfect for members to enjoy by May 1st.

We don't sell boats by being the slickest salesmen or promising the moon and the stars. We do it by having the best maintained fleet around, and offering the best customer service. Nearly all our boat owners were former members or sailing school students, who saw our commitment and attention to detail firsthand. They trust us to take care of their investment, and give them a wonderful experience every time they step onboard.
