This is one of my favorite go to's for a snack, breakfast, 2nd Breakfast, Lunch, 2nd Lunch, Dinner, 2nd Dinner and Midnight Snack!
January feels approximately 74 days long.
Good news: that’s plenty of time for more Boiled Peanuts.
This is the perfect reason why some people should never be allowed to breed. We just propagate the world with "Karen's". Help stomp out "Karen's" - they have no real function in society and should be sent to the "Karen" farm outside of Pueblo.

Texas hospitals face over $1 billion in costs linked to illegal immigrants in the first year of tracking, with 313,742 visits recorded under Gov. Greg Abbott's order.
The data, compiled by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and obtained by Texas Scorecard, shows hospitals logged 313,742 visits linked to individuals not legally present, with total costs reaching $1.05 billion by the end of the fiscal year.
Texas’ fiscal year runs from Sept. 1 through Aug. 31, but hospitals were only required to begin reporting in November. Based on the reported data, costs averaged about $105 million per month, meaning the true annual total could be significantly higher.
To put the figures into perspective, the reported hospital costs approach about 1% of the state’s tax-funded resources.
The figures were collected under an executive order signed by Gov. Greg Abbott in August 2024 that mandated the agency track the number of "individuals not lawfully present" in the U.S.

Socrates lived in an age when philosophy was as natural as breathing, when conversation was a form of worship, and when food served as both sustenance and symbol. He wandered the streets of Athens barefoot, asking questions that stirred the minds of men and angered those in power. His life was marked by simplicity. He owned little, desired little, and ate what was necessary to keep the body in service of the soul. To eat like Socrates is to taste moderation itself, to rediscover a time when wisdom mattered more than wealth, and when sharing bread and olives meant sharing truth.

Minnesota federal prosecutor Joseph Thompson and four others gave notice of their resignations after disagreements about the ICE-involved shooting.
Several federal prosecutors in Minnesota were formally fired on Wednesday after they gave notice that they had resigned in the wake of internal disagreements over the Justice Department’s handling of a shooting investigation involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The DOJ, at the direction of Attorney General Pam Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, terminated the employment of five prosecutors in the U.S. attorney's office in Minnesota, including Joseph Thompson, the No. 2 official there, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
Their resignations and the internal disputes about the shooting probe first surfaced in the New York Times. The prosecutors were positioned to receive paid leave for months prior to their firings on Wednesday, according to the sources.
