I’m glad that cooperative robots are working especially the ones that can give massages! However, in the articles that I read, the robot is programmed for a specific task. This to be expected but what of the unmentioned issues of gripper replacement for part dimensions, programmability and placement of the integrated machine vision and capability for programmability of one robot or cobot by non-technical users in the field for multiple functions?
These are the issues I’ve faced while attempting to commoditize 3axis Excimer Laser micro machining systems for non-technical users.
To get a robot to perform a repetitive task is now well understood however the “productization” of these cobots for functional change in the field is not mentioned.
I would be interested in any practical information, articles or technical reports regarding these myriad issues.

Just because there are deadlines for “deliverable articles” does not mean that the project is structured. It must have a defined life cycle which is monitored and followed no matter what life cycle is defined with preferably co-located collaborative meetings in addition to transparent, real time software for collaboration with stakeholders and SME’s.
