Figured it was time to reintroduce ourselves.
We're KING Strength.
We opened this gym because we believed there was a better way to help people get stronger.
Too many people think strength training has to be intimidating. That you need to already be in shape, know what you're doing, or be willing to destroy yourself every workout.
We don't buy into that.
At KING Strength, we coach real people.
Busy parents. Healthcare professionals. Teachers. Business owners. Retirees. High school and college athletes. Complete beginners. Former athletes. People recovering from injuries. People who simply want to feel stronger and healthier than they did yesterday.
Everything starts with an assessment. We learn your story, see how you move, understand your goals, and place you into the right training track. From there, your program evolves as you do.
No random workouts.
No getting lost in a class of 30+people.
No wondering if you're doing the right thing.
Just good coaching, smart programming, and showing up consistently.
We believe everyone deserves a third place, somewhere outside of home and work where they feel like they belong. A place where people know your name, celebrate your wins, hold you accountable, and genuinely care about how you're doing.
That's the culture we've worked hard to build.
We're also proud to be an AAPI-owned small business. Our background has shaped how we lead, how we serve our community, and how we treat people. We believe culture matters. Different perspectives make communities stronger, and we want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, respected, and valued.
We're passionate about developing the next generation of coaches, too. Every summer we host internships and apprenticeships where aspiring coaches learn movement assessment, programming, communication, leadership, business, and what it really means to coach people, not just exercises.
At the end of the day, we're more than a gym.
We're a community built on four core values:
đź‘‘ K now Your People
đź‘‘ Inspire Confidence
đź‘‘ Nurture Connection
đź‘‘ Grow Stronger Together
If you've been following along but haven't stopped in yet, we'd love to meet you. ✌️
Aiyana absolutely crushed her Q3 reassessment.
Three months ago, her best lifts were a 115 lb back squat and a 185 lb trap bar deadlift.
This week she hit 155 lbs for 5 reps on the box squat and 200 lbs for 5 reps on the trap bar deadlift.
At KING Strength, we estimate a 5RM to be about 85% of a true 1RM, which puts her estimated maxes at approximately 182 lbs on the squat and 235 lbs on the trap bar deadlift.
That’s roughly a 58% increase in squat strength and a 27% increase in deadlift strength in just 3months.
That’s crazy progress.
This is exactly why we reassess every quarter. The goal isn’t just to work hard, it’s to measure it. Seeing the numbers improve is proof that consistency, smart programming, and showing up week after week pays off.
Proud of you, Aiyana. On to an even bigger Q3. đź‘‘đź’Ş

Week 3 of our Summer Internship Program is in the books.
This week’s lecture was led by Coach Tbone and focused on an introduction to business, sales, and one of the most important concepts you’ll ever learn: perception vs. reality.
The reality is often less important than the perception. If people perceive something to be true, that’s the experience they’re operating from.
A simple example for us: a lot of moms in town assume KING Strength is a hardcore “bro gym” because of the black walls, barbells, and strength-focused environment. The reality? Nearly 80% of our members are women.
Neither perception nor reality is necessarily wrong, they’re just different. The goal is to understand the gap and work to align them through communication, education, and consistent experiences.
We also discussed another sales principle: what people want and what people need aren’t always the same thing. Great coaches, leaders, and business owners learn how to bridge that gap and help people connect the two.
Excited to keep challenging our interns to think beyond sets and reps and understand the people side of coaching and business.
Happy 250th birthday, America 🇺🇸

Great way to kick off the holiday weekend.
Coach Kenny was back on the floor for his first session of the summer, and Steph checked off her 100th training session.
Nothing flashy. Just good people showing up, putting in the work, and stacking another week of training.
Have a safe Fourth of July weekend, everyone. 🇺🇸
