Sad day for Dallas Raceway

With Deep Regret, Dallas Raceway was sold and will no longer be a racing facility. We, the Dallas Raceway staff, appreciate everyone who supported us the past two years. We are still getting a date together for the end of 2013 Banquet. Stay tuned for that announcement. We are sorry and Ken tried all he could to continue to race for the 2014 season, thus why no announcement until now.

Test N Tune / Fun N Grudge - First of 2014

The “Concrete Palace” will be open for the first time of 2014 on Sunday, January 12, 2014 for a Test N Tune / Fun N Grudge event. We will open for Test N Tune at 12 noon and run until 5:00pm.

This weekend is supposed to be nice and have a temperature right for racing. So bring out those freshened up engines and give it a shot at the all concrete 1/4 mile just east of Dallas.

We still hope to have a schedule of events up in the next week for the remainder of 2014.

Happy New Year

Hi all you racers and fans. We are finalizing the 2014 schedule and should have some news out this week but this weekend, January 4-5, 2014. We will still be closed this weekend, so no Test N Tune, but stayed tuned for the upcoming news.

Test and Tune / Fun and Grudge - Last of 2013

Racers, I guess enough of you called. Ken has called me and asked me to update the web page.

Saturday, December 28, 2013, the “Concrete Palace” will be open from 12 noon to 5pm for Test N Tune. This will be the last Test N Tune of 2013.

We are working on the new calendar, but a new IHRA event has been posted, this is the first for IHRA, they are having it at Dallas Raceway.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Dallas Raceway will be closed for the holidays. All of us at Dallas Raceway wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Please stay tuned as we will be posting the 2014 schedule soon. Ken is finishing up the full schedule for 2014 currently.

We have enjoyed 2013, had some speed bumps, but we are looking forward to having a great 2014.

UPDATE: Mr. Ken Hall has made the decision to now host the Test N Tune on Sunday. Saturday, the temperature is not forecasted to get to 50 degrees, the wind is supposed to be blowing badly, so Ken has notified me that the Track will be open on Sunday for Test N Tune weather permitting!!

Well Ken has made the call, of course anyone in the Dallas area should know that Mother Nature has forced us to close this Saturday. The ground is icy, the temps are below freezing, so we will not be open for this last Grudge Race of the year. We are all disappointed but Texas Decembers are unpredictable.

We will be open for Test N Tune next Saturday from Noon - till dusk, as long as it is clear and predicted to be above 50 degrees. We are sorry from the staff of the Dallas Raceway.
