Part 2 of 3: Choose curiosity over judgment

Every person has a story. Every person has faced challenges, victories and experiences that have shaped who they are today.

Too often, we form opinions before we take the time to understand someone. Curiosity invites us to slow down, listen and learn. Judgment closes the door. Curiosity opens it.

The next time someone sees the world differently than you do, consider asking a question instead of making an assumption. You may discover something that changes your perspective.

At Rotary, curiosity helps build understanding across cultures, professions and generations. By learning from one another, we create goodwill, stronger friendships and a greater ability to serve our communities together.

Passing the gavel of service

June marks an important season in Rotary as clubs around the world prepare for new leadership roles and a new Rotary year beginning July 1.

It is a reminder that Rotary is built on teamwork, continuity and people willing to step forward to serve others.
