Burn Ban Lifted

The Burn Ban placed in effect on September 27, 2019 throughout Pendleton County is now terminated effective today, October 12, 2019.. With the recent rain fall, it has been determined that the burn ban should be lifted. The lifting of the burn ban does not defer the fact that 911 Dispatch should be notified of any and all burning that takes place in Pendleton County.

Public Notice Dealing with Burning

Per Pendleton County Ordinance # 341.0, anyone in Pendleton County wishing to burn, must first notify the 911 dispatch center at 654-3300 of his or her intent to burn and also must control such burning while complying with all state and local laws governing burning, to include burning only items permit by law to be burned. They must also notify dispatch immediately following any such burn. Per Pendleton County Ordinance # 220.12, anyone failing to notify 911 dispatch as provided in Ordinance 341.0 shall be charged $500.00 if the Falmouth Fire Department is called to respond to such a burn. A copy of the full text of these ordinances may be picked up in the office of the County Judge/Executive, 233 Main St., Falmouth, Ky 41040 or may be found on the county website at www.pendletoncounty.ky.gov.
