The universally acclaimed Covington Lions Club Chicken BBQ will be here in 3 weeks. If you haven't gotten your tickets yet, you probably need to see a Lion member, go to Mayfield's Hardware or go online at covingtongalions.org

The very world famous Covington Lions Club Chicken BBQ will soon be upon us. On Wednesday, April 15th from 11 until 7. At Academy Springs Park on the corner of Legion Drive and what's left of Conyers Street. We have assurances that the construction will have moved up the street and won't hinder access to the park. We will have eat in or drive through. The drive through will be at the American Legion building just across the street. This is a community event that has been happening for over 30 years. Don't miss out. Tickets can be purchased from any Lions member.

Last Thursday, we had a program from the CHAMPS program of the Newton County Sheriff's Department. The extent and the effort the deputies led by Tim Smith (who is a member of our club) is absolutely terrific. There is nothing else comparable in the state.
We try to help when we can and direct our service to the areas where we can make a difference.

The world and locally famous Lions Club Pancake supper will soon be upon us. Perhaps the best pancakes you've ever eaten. We've done this for a bunch of years so we're pretty good at it by now. Sausage is included. We have it at the Lions clubhouse in Academy Springs Park. It will be on Thursday, September 25th from 5 pm until 7 pm. Adults are $7.50 each, children are $5.00. A family of 4 is just $25.00. What a deal. To go plates are available
