During this time I have seen families struggle with the decisions that surround dealing with the estates of their loved ones and the fact that in almost every instance “investors” and other would be “benefactors” descended like vultures in the hopes of helping the bereaved survivor “out from under” the burden their loved one “left them” with. I became a real estate agent with the goal of leaving the death care industry. As I learned more about the relationship which could be established between the real estate industry and the death care industry, I saw that my previous training placed me in a unique position to truly help survivors navigate the often rocky road of estate probate. I had seen many instances of the impact grief has on an individual’s decision making during that time. With this realization, I began to shift my focus to gaining as much information as possible about this connection, from identifying experienced partners (probate attorneys, contractors, lawn maintenance providers, general handymen, etc.) to putting together a team that is more motivated by the outcome for the survivor than the money they can put in their pockets. We pride ourselves on walking each family through their options when it comes to dealing with the probate of their loved one’s estate. Whether this process leads to a sale of property which generates a commission check is not of the utmost importance. The satisfaction of helping someone safely navigate one the most tumultuous times of their lives is our ultimate motivation.
