"Come learn about the history of textile spinning and witness a live demonstration with our friends from Bellwether Wool Company! One of the simplest tools for spinning is a called a drop spindle. People have been spinning fiber for thousands of years using this ancient tool. On display this month in the Louis C Raymond exhibit in Corvallis Museum is an example of a drop spindle from Colombia, estimated to be over 400 years old!
Studying textiles can be a fascinating window into the past! You can even pick up a drop spindle in our gift shop to keep the fun going at home!"

We now have approximately 250 color combinations of the roving. Plus some of their finished yarns and some locks.
