Back Office Customer Service Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Support Specialist to join our team. This position offers a mix of customer service responsibilities and specialized back-office work — with a strong focus on phone tasks. You will support customers who use CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) therapy and also contribute to various operational functions, including:
• Chats – Responding to customer inquiries via live chat.
• Pre-Authorizations (Pre-Auths) – Assisting in reviewing and submitting requests.
• Verifications – Confirming insurance, prescription, or account information.
• RX Requests – Managing and processing prescription-related needs.
• Claims Processing – Preparing and submitting claim documentation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage customer interactions through chat, email, and phone calls.
• Process orders for CPAP equipment and supplies.
• Verify insurance coverage and prescription requirements.
• Assist with pre-authorization and claims submissions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, or equipment.
• Maintain accurate records in the company’s system.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and report any potential breaches immediately.
• Meet or exceed performance goals in quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
Required:
• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare or medical equipment environment.
• Strong written communication skills
• Minimum typing speed of 60+ words per minute.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Professional, empathetic, and team-oriented personality.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with multiple software systems.
• Ability to multitask between different workflows.
