Conway Corporation has made us aware of their sewer system inspections. They began with manhole inspections and their contractors (RJN Group) will be conducting smoke testing beginning this month. This year they are working in the area bound by Fleming Street to Robins Street and Center Street to Harkrider (refer to attached map).

The "smoke" is a specially designed artificial mist which is non-toxic, not-staining, and creates no fire hazard. The mist helps find cracks and leaks in underground sewer pipes, which keeps dangerous sewer gases from leaking into your home or neighborhood.

The smoke is designed to stay in the underground sewer lines. However, it may briefly appear in your yard, in street cracks, or rising from roof vents.

If smoke enters your home, it means your plumbing may have a dry drain trap or a cracked pipe. If this happens, you should:

* Open windows and doors to let the v***r clear out.

* Run water in sinks and tubs for a few seconds. This fills the empty "trap" with water and blocks the smoke or gases from entering.

* Avoid breathing it directly if you have a respiratory condition like asthma. The v***r can be a mild irritant.

Lights Over the Lake Traffic Information – Today (Friday, July 3)

If you're attending Lights Over the Lake at Beaverfork Lake Park today, please expect heavy traffic before and especially after the event.

At the conclusion of the event, BOTH lanes of the park exit will be used to help everyone leave as quickly and safely as possible.
⬅️ Left Lane: Turn south on Highway 25 toward Salem Road, Old Morrilton Highway (Hwy. 64W), and I-40.
➡️ Right Lane: Turn north on Highway 25 toward Beaverfork Road and Highway 65N.

⚠️ Please get into the correct lane before reaching the intersection. Waiting until the last second to merge or change lanes slows traffic, creates unnecessary backups, and delays everyone trying to leave.

Our Officers will be on-site directing traffic throughout the event. Please use caution, follow Officers' directions, and watch for pedestrians walking to their vehicles after dark.

📲 Please share this post so everyone knows the traffic plan before arriving. A little planning goes a long way in helping everyone get home safely and efficiently.
