Dear Friend, we have a beautiful, powerful sermon prepared for Sunday that I'm eager to preach. After our previous message about the spiritual discipline of Removing Our Stumbling Blocks, this weekend we will examine the next step of discipleship: Planting God's Word in our hearts.

So, all that to say, I'm looking forward to seeing you at Honor Cafe this Sunday, May 17 at 10am.

To all of the amazing mom's in our lives, Happy Mother's Day! I pray today God impresses upon you the truth of how he sees you: You are daughters of the King. You are holy and precious. You are a treasured queens. You are a warrior priestesses. Thank you for modeling this for us. May God bless you and bless you and bless you this year.

Yesterday a man joined our Friday Bible Study at Honor Cafe. He would eventually share how dangerous it has become for him to watch TV. He said, "It's just all fear. And fear sets us on fire."

As our study came to a close I felt led to offer the man a prayer card. I reached in my pocket and pulled out seven cards and invited him to take one. He reached across the table and took one without looking at it. The card he pulled featured a man watching TV. The TV showed a city on fire. And as the man watched the TV, he too, was set on fire.

All that to say, this Sunday we're preaching about the spiritual discipline of protecting the things God gives us. Things like our peace, and our purpose. And just like with that man at Honor Cafe, I fully expect God to show up with the exact right word at the exact right time. I hope you can make it.
