Congratulations to Lashonda, one of our Collective partners. This award could not go to a more deserving leader in our community!

The following was shared on the Cabarrus Partnership for Children page.

🌟 Congratulations to Lashonda Houston, Executive Director of Endless-Opportunities! 🌟

This morning at our annual Voices for Children Luncheon, Executive Director Ann Benfield had the honor of presenting the 2025 Anne Laukaitis Champion for Children Award to an extraordinary leader in our community — Lashonda Houston.

Lashonda’s vision, perseverance, and deep compassion have transformed the lives of countless children and families in Cabarrus County. Her commitment to uplifting those who are often overlooked, building trust, and empowering parents reflects the very spirit of this award.

Through her leadership, the Parents as Teachers program achieved national recognition as a Blue Ribbon–certified model, and her work supporting young parents and launching a support group for families with neurodivergent children continues to create lasting change.

Please join us in celebrating Lashonda for her unwavering dedication to strengthening families and ensuring the well-being of our youngest citizens. 💛
