Spark NH’s vision is “All New Hampshire children and their families are healthy, learning, and thriving now and in the future,” and its focus is on expectant parents as well as children from birth through grade 3 and their families. Spark NH’s mission is to “provide leadership that promotes a comprehensive, coordinated, sustainable early childhood system that achieves positive outcomes for young children and families, investing in a solid future for the Granite State.”

General information
Spark NH was enacted by Governor Lynch by Executive Order on September 7, 2011. The Council has 20 public and private members appointed by the Governor who are early childhood professionals representing early education, health and family support. The seven committees that inform Spark NH’s work include non-Council members from across the state.
The Committees are: Communication and Public Awareness, Early Childhood Data System Committee, Evaluation Committee, Funding and Sustainability Committee, Policy Committee, Quality of Early Childhood Programs and Services Committee, Workforce and Professional Development Committee
