Rimer Fire Department currently has 32 members on the roster, 6 of those members are female. We have 12 part time paid firefighters/EMT's who insure response during daytime business hours when volunteer response is difficult. We extend membership to any persons in the district of 18 years old. Rimer also has a junior firefighter program open to person 16 year old. Rimer members meet twice a month

We had a great time during Week 2 at Camp Spencer with the Boys & Girls Club! 🚒☀️
The campers learned about the importance of lithium-ion battery safety, got an up-close look at the equipment we carry on our fire truck, and discovered how firefighters use these tools to help keep our community safe.
After all the learning, everyone enjoyed cooling down with some water and having a little fun in the summer heat! 💦
Thank you to Camp Spencer and the Boys & Girls Club for having us out again. We always enjoy spending time with these amazing kids and helping teach important fire and life safety lessons.

🚨 FREE Address Sign Update! 🚨
We’ve had a great response to our FREE reflective address sign program thanks to the grant from the NC FFBCF!
At this time, we have 8 free signs remaining for residents who live in the Rimer Fire District. Once these are gone, the free signs will be gone!
Having a reflective address sign helps emergency responders quickly locate your home when seconds matter.
