Unearthed Rocks

guitar class together at CHS, & Marty (who got his first drum set three months later!) quickly saw that Jeff already had every Randy Rhodes, and Eddie Van Halen song & solo down to shredding perfection, and knew Jeff was a special talent! The following year, Caroline & Marty were hanging out with mutual friends, when Caroline had the idea to start a band, so we recruited some members, and in 1984, our high school band, Sanctuary was born! We played our first gig in the CHS Quad at lunch on June 1st 1984! After High School, we all remained friends and Jeff, Marty and Caroline jammed together in our early 20’s, but we went our different ways playing in various bands over many years. Caroline met Mike during the 90's when they rehearsed at the same studios and saw the raw talent of Mike's furious Bass playing with thrash metal legends Defiance & Monster God to name a few. We came together in April 2023, for our first jam together in almost 40 years & found undeniable chemistry that Unearthed us musicians from the past, thus creating our band.
