The material handler is responsible to safely and accurately perform all activities associated with issuing, transporting, loading and unloading, and storing inventory.

Position Description and Qualifications

- Operating forklifts, reach trucks, walkers and pallet jacks to pick, stage, transport and put away raw materials and packing supplies
- Using handheld data collection devices and/or computer terminals to record inventory transactions to maintain real-time information
- Documenting the condition of materials received and generates reports summarizing damages
- Performing cycle counts and report results per corporate policy
- Protecting against unauthorized access to their designated area of control

Desired Experience

- Bilingual: English/Spanish- with the ability to read, write, and speak English to the extent that they are able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give verbal and written instructions in English.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals (additions, subtraction. division, and multiplication) to make job-related calculations
- Certified to operate forklifts, reach trucks, walkers, and pallet jacks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lift/carry, pull/push, reach, squat, kneel, and or climb ladders and stairs
- Must have valid driver's license
- Preferred but not required: 2 years of operating forklift
