Let's have an honest quilting conversation today…

Have you ever looked at someone else's work and thought:

"Well… THEY'RE creative. I'm not."

I think far more women struggle with that feeling than we realize.

So tell me…

--> When was the moment you first started feeling creative again?

Was it: a quilt? A class? A retreat? Learning embroidery? Finally buying the sewing machine? Pulling an unfinished project back out? Someone encouraging you? Simply giving yourself permission to try?

I'd truly love to hear your story.

"Creativity does not disappear. It waits."

Sometimes it waits beneath careers, responsibilities, caregiving, schedules, perfectionism, and years of putting everyone else first.

And then one day… a quilt class, a sewing machine, a sketchbook, a ball of yarn, or a piece of fabric quietly wakes something back up again.

I think there are far fewer 'uncreative' people than there are people who simply stopped giving themselves permission to create.

Have you ever gone through a season where you stopped creating… and then found your way back?

Somewhere along the way, many women stopped calling themselves creative.

Not because they stopped creating…
but because life got busy.

Careers. Families. Responsibilities. Schedules. Taking care of everyone else first.

And slowly, creativity got moved into the 'someday' pile right beside the fabric we were saving for the perfect project.

Today on the blog, I'm sharing a new piece about creativity, identity, perfectionism, and why making things still matters more than ever.

If you've ever said:
"I'm not artistic."
"I just follow patterns."
"I'm not really creative…"

This post is for you.
