Commack Fire Department

Commack Firefighters were called to the area of Wiltshire Drive & Renee Place after a tractor trailer crashed into a pole taking wires down all along the block. Houses were secured and the area was roped off until power crews can arrive.

Commack firefighters were called to assist the Central Islip Fire Department yesterday afternoon at a large fire in a strip mall. Ladder 1 operated for about 3 hours before being released.

For the second day in a row, Commack firefighters handled a car fire. This afternoon, members extinguished a minivan ablaze in the parking lot of 500 Commack Road.

Members competed in the 19th Annual Chuck Varese Memorial Extrication Tournament, hosted by the Northport Fire Department. Members from Truck Company 1 took 2nd place out of 24 teams.

Monday afternoon, Commack firefighters responded to a payloader fire on Old Northport Road.
