Rain on your wedding day is good luck because a soaked knot is harder to untie...🩵

Immediate family is one of those things we can't change and extended family might change but we dont always get to hand pick them. I am thankful for not only what God gave me, but also what He has blessed us with and the wonderful (and very cool) people he is forever bringing into our circle. Congrats to Jeff & Sheila aka "Grandy & Pop"
I do regret not getting more pics but this was an epic event for the MT scrapbook if only in memories- a perfectly- imperfect celebration- just like family ❤️

What makes MT so special??
We had some sweet friends and travelers from Kentucky visit us this past spring. They brought us these beautiful handcrafted birdhouses and not sure where they should go, we sat them on the kitchen deck to admire and install later. But because we have such a diverse and prolific wildlife sanctuary here, the birds have made quick work of claiming a home as it sat.
I watched this one building a nest for weeks and i finally had my phone in hand today to capture the moment.
If you can be still for long enough you will see things that are pure magic here. There is a beauty I cant explain, a peace and calmness that is rare and special. It is more than a home, a venue or overnight stop. And we cant wait to share this with others.
For more info on progress of coming availability and events - shoot us a message and we will keep you posted!💛

It was a lovely day for a party...

We have a new room to share!... The Wisteria, named for its views might be one of our our smaller suites but it is big on charm and curated with all our favorite finds from the 127 pilgrimage last summer. We have more pics and details on our Instagram

That magic moment...

We have begun some long needed repairs with the new year! And I'm always amazed at the things we find when we start a restoration. While Myrtle Terrasse had been patched (of sorts) and all obvious treasures long since removed, a few cool surprises remained deep in the structure. AND we have an answer, I believe to the questions of TO PAINT OR NOT TO PAINT... with the original brick exposed under shutters, we now know what needs to be done. 🤍
