The Springer Opera House is a non-for-profit professional theatre that produces 11 shows annually with some of the nation's most sought after talent from Los Angeles to New York. Built in 1871, the Springer is on the registry for National Historic Landmark and was named the State Theatre of Georgia by Governor Jimmy Carter in 1971.

Our balcony is getting a glow up this summer!

The old theatre seats have officially been removed, and work is underway to prepare for exciting upgrades in Emily Woodruff Hall, including:

• Brand-new theatre seating with cup holders
• Wider aisles
• New carpeting
• New handrails

We can’t wait to welcome you back this fall with a more comfortable and beautiful balcony experience. Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes updates as the transformation continues!
