Though the U.S. Department of Agriculture Cochran Fellowship Program has ended, the work continues. The eight visitors from focused on improving their understanding of high-value horticultural development and trade during their two weeks at The Ohio State University through meetings with Ohio State - College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences faculty and extension specialists, Ohio farmers and growers, and agency administrators. With this new knowledge, Moldova is now better positioned to improve their production systems and capacity to trade with the U.S.

The final report is now available for the IAGRI - Innovative Agricultural Research Initiative – a major Feed the Future Initiative in Tanzania led by The Ohio State University and funded by the US Agency for International Development. The report is a culmination of the six year (2011 – 2017), $25.5 million project that focused on strengthening human and institutional capacity development to improve food security in Tanzania. The project ultimately trained 135 Tanzanian graduate students, engaged more than 50 Ohio State faculty and students, developed 107 new agricultural production technologies and management practices, and created 10 public-private partnerships between Sokoine University of Agriculture and the private sector.
