I've learned with the lyrics that sometimes it's more effective to suggest things than to actually say exactly what it is you want to say. If I want to describe a certain sinister winter or a face from outside, instead of saying exactly what it is and looks like, and that it had these hollow black things, teeth coming out of the mouth, Ill just say that behind there in the darkness suddenly there was the shape of a human face. The listener can make it much scarier than I can, because he will pull from all the things that he feels most scared about and use that. But so many things on the albums come from real things. They twist and turn a bit but it's those inner nasty feelings. Some people hate spiders and they probably hate some things that were on The Spider's Lullabye because it was not described in super detail to where they could associate all the worst fears themselves. You know what I'm saying? You suggest something up to a certain degree, but then you leave it to their imagination because they can much better scare themselves."

King Diamond-

🔷🔷🔷🔷When “THEY” Visit 🔷🔷🔷

King speaks of the cold spots in his old and current house where the invisible guests hide.
About 5 in the first house and roughly 3 in his current home. He and Livia have had a few interactions with whatever THEY are one in particular involving Livia that’s actually a bit funny but I’ll save that for another time.

This little Story From Hell however involves Mr. Andy La Rocque and his experience with a visitor from beyond.

King Diamond-

We have some of that even in this house. Not as much. Andy was smacked over the head when he was recording Give me Your Soul here. I had to change one of the lines so that he never forgets it. It is in Black of Night, one of Andy's songs. It's a line where I say "Something hit me on the head." He was recording and I was watching TV without the sound, he sat there and I thought that he had an electric spike from the earphones. "No, something hit me in the head."
"Well", I said, "then you have to play better." Hal had the same experience during the recording of the Puppet Master.
- So there are things that happen here.
