Today is Chronic Disease Day, an initiative established to highlight the urgent need to reduce preventable chronic conditions, which account for more than 90% of U.S. healthcare spending.

Today, we're recognizing the importance of early detection and timely care for chronic conditions like type 1 diabetes. 💙 Through Ohio AAP's Type 1 Diabetes Screening & Referral Program, we're helping pediatric practices identify children at risk sooner, connect families to appropriate care, and increase awareness of therapies that can help delay the onset of insulin dependence.
