My name is Corey Southers.
I am the owner of Outlive Performance Physical Therapy.
I am a doctor of physical therapy with over a decade of experience in working with clients from every background imaginable.
I have a special emphasis in blending together pain relief and strength training.
I want to help you figure out WHY you aren’t able to do the things you want to do (play with your kids, run, squat, deadlift, CrossFit, etc) without pain, and I work together with you to figure out HOW we can get you back into doing those things without pain and STRONGER than ever before.
I work with pain of any kind - but back pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, and knee pain are my “specialties” in my practice.
If you find yourself skipping workouts or altering the things you’d like to do because of any pain like this, I can help you out!
I see a full schedule of in person clients in my office to work on these pain issues, and I also put a huge emphasis on building the foundation for you to learn how to prevent this pain and handle these issues on your own when they do pop up.
Outside of the office, I offer remote strength training and mobility programs that are designed to allow you to train PAIN FREE and build the strengths and skills that will help you feel strong and mobile in every part of your life.
I want you to realize your potential and become the strongest, healthiest version of yourself.

This is not a cat/cow.
The main difference here is how we are segmenting each vertebra with as much control as possible.
Your vertebrae should move as closely to 24 separate units as possible.
Many times we run into problems in areas that do not segment well - such as the last 5 in the lower back all moving as one big block.
Practice this control a few minutes a day if you’re having tightness in your back - it can be good for any part of the back! Pain free range only on this one!

Athletes focus on recovery. They focus on nutrition. They focus on sleep. They focus on hydration. They focus on allowing their body to heal itself while still finding ways to train and move.

Whether you’re 50 years old and haven’t ever played a sport or if you’re 20 years old and currently sidelined with an injury, you are an athlete.
The sooner you realize that and focus on doing the things an athlete does to take care of their body, the sooner you’ll make progress.
Athletes also know that progress doesn’t happen overnight. They work on themselves daily to see little bits of progress that add up to big gains over time - while never straying too far from the basics of their foundation.
