Ohio Local History Alliance

Thanks to the support of the Ohio Local History Alliance and our Digitization Grant program, the Shelby Cycle Historical Society is preserving an important chapter of Ohio's industrial heritage by digitizing the Comet and Tuby Talk employee newsletters. Published beginning near the end of World War II, these newsletters connected employees of the Ohio Seamless Tube Company while documenting their contributions to the war effort, workplace life, and the Shelby community. For the first time, these rare publications are being preserved and made available online, ensuring that future generations can explore the remarkable story of America's first cold-drawn seamless tube factory and the people who made its success possible.
