Ragtop Down

Happy Ragtop-iversary!! Four years ago today, the five of us got on stage in Circleville for the first time together. Ragtop Down had been around for about three years prior to that, had undergone several lineup changes, and played a handful of shows.

But when this lineup came together, things took off.

In our first four years, we've played 113 shows together.
We've played over 5,000 songs for audiences all over this state. Yes... I actually keep track.
(We've also argued over our on-stage sound at no less than 90% of our shows. 😆)

But like all brotherhoods, those fights mean nothing compared to the joy we get from playing music for all of you.

Andy Alltop, Doug Brackett, Don Cauley, Mark Walters, and Dave Arthur... thank you for the brotherhood and for building something special that has brought a lot of fun to the Buckeye State.

Also, a big thanks to our families for putting up with so many interrupted weekends, late nights, extra miles on the vehicles, as well as for being our regular cheerleaders and event photographers.

Thank you to every venue owner and booker who has allowed us to bring our show to your people.

And most importantly, THANK YOU to the many, many friends we've made along the way. We hope you realize how grateful we are every time we get to see you.

Another GREAT WEEKEND of rock & roll shenanigans with so many of our friends! THANK YOU to everyone at Desperados Bar & Grill for a great Bike Night on Thursday, and to the huge crowd who showed up for our debut performance at Oak Crest Campgrounds on Saturday night! We had great times both nights!

We'll be back at Desperados on Halloween night for the Halloween party!

In the meantime, we have shows at the Springfield Eagles on Saturday, September 27 and Urbana Moose on Saturday, October 4! (And then we're getting our first weekend off in FIVE MONTHS!)

Another GREAT night with our friends at Ike's Pub Hubbard Rd for the 3rd Annual Austin's Forever 10 Poker Run! Always a great night and a fun crowd! Thanks to Amy and Tiff for having us (and Amy, we stole this video from you)!

We had a BLAST last night at Springfield DAV for another great show! THANK YOU to so many friends and family who made it out for a fun show. It was a hot one, but you all packed the patio and partied with us all night!

And, we got to experience a first for us as a band: a marriage proposal! Congratulations again to the newly-engaged couple!
