Today, we dreamed.

Mandi with and Susan Trianfo from guided survivors of human trafficking through the journey of dreaming after trauma. Here they are designing vision boards to refine their dreams in preparation for submitting applications later this year. Thank you to for hosting the perfect place to envision what's next.

Why is supporting dreams important? Fall 2024 April Thacker Dream Scholarship Recipient and published author of "Rooted Without A Tree" Willow Kennedy shares:

"SHAN was a huge catalyst in getting me to realize I don’t have to push aside my dreams and goals because I deserve to live a good life!"

Twice a month SHAN volunteers meet with survivors at Lower Lights Recovery program for a spiritual support group. This month one of the volunteer leaders shared her artistic skills by leading the group in making watercolor book marks.

One participant shared with us, "I love this Bible study group. the patience and kindness and love shown by the women leading it is unsurpassed in my recovery experience. Getting to know more intimately other survivors in this setting has been helpful too. I struggle with getting close to people and I feel safe here to do that."
