New ink thanks to my music logo with some extras: tribal spikes, the aesthetic has been a favorite style.
Not gonna lie, it hurt a lot, but not as much as the “what if” of not getting this done.
⬇️ How do YOU feel about the Hard Techno Trend? Let’s talk ⬇️
The clique that would make fun of me for listening to Masters of Hardcore on the bus in high school are now on the hard techno train, in all the wrong ways.
I’ve played hard techno and schranz this year, don’t be misled and think that I hate hard techno. I resent the version that’s trending, as it’s closer to hardstyle than techno. Even with music evolving, and the shift in style being new chances and new trends, the forefront are artists that jumped onto the train when they were top DJs in other styles. Nothing is wrong with a shift, but to this techno is only causing harm.
It’s diet hardstyle, the kicks are designed to be pure distortion to go with harsh leads. There’s a limit on pushing intensity before you lose the sound entirely, and calling it techno at that point is incorrect.
Yet, as the year goes on, it seems more people are making the jump. Some do well, most return to their original styles. And I’m discouraged for techno being a trend that falls out of style when enough people are burnt out on the distortion and harsh sound, which could discourage them from techno as a whole
