Thank you to everyone who joined us for ODA Day at the Statehouse last week!🦷🌟🇺🇸

A special thank you to the Ohio Dental Association for organizing this event & giving dental students the opportunity to learn about advocacy & engage with issues impacting the future of our profession. We are grateful for the chance to hear directly from leaders in organized dentistry & better understand how legislation affects dentists, patients, and access to care across Ohio.❤️

This year, we discussed:
✔️ Supporting House Bill 845 to improve transparency in dental insurance contracting
✔️ Supporting House Bill 429 to address insurance downcoding and bundling practices
✔️ Opposing House Bill 182 to protect community water fluoridation

We also explored broader issues including protecting community water fluoridation, increasing insurance transparency & accountability, expanding access to care through workforce & Medicaid initiatives, as well as preserving dentist-led care.🪥
